It's a crappy day!!

I worked overtime till 11 pm last night for the testings. Today, my manager came to shoot me with a list of questions:

1. What testings you did last night?
2. Why you need to do the testings?
3. Who told you to do the testings?
4. Who put up the request for enhancement?
5. Does every department in our company needs to do the testings?
6. What actions you performed during the testings?
7. Who are the other testers in other departments?
8. Why do you need to test until 11pm?

OMG! I seriously don't know what to say about my manager~ If he don't trust me, why don't he tell my assistant manager to ask someone else to do the testings instead?? Why shoot me a list of questions AFTER the testings?!

Hmm... If this is a standard procedure, then I would like to raise a Staff Suggestion that the management do up a questionaire for the staff to complete when he/she needs to work overtime! Anyway, we do not get paid for working overtime. So what's the big fuss?!

Given a choice, I LOVE to knock off on the dot~ ^^'

Why work overtime?? Hmm... I was tasked to do testings on the enhancement for Email Us service. Well, I really don't understand why testings have to be done at late hours! But anyway, I had to do it.

Hahas, my assistant manager told me I am considered lucky to call it a day at 11pm. For the last round of testings, she completed at 1 am plus! OMG!!! Luckily, she got her hubby with her in office. 好幸福! For me, I am all alone in office. So lonely...

经过了那么多人与事，我好像真的成长了！

以往的我常常怀念过去的快乐时光。总是转牛角尖的思考为什么我会失去我身边的挚爱，为什么我在工作上所付出的都得不到认同与肯定。越想我就越不开心，越觉得自己好失败。越觉得自己失败，就越想做的更多更好。但是不管做了什么都觉得做得不够好！真的好不开心~

最近看见阿公进出医院好几次，我突然有所领悟了。

原来人在脆弱时，真的好凄凉！身边就算有多少的挚爱，都无法帮你解除痛苦。所以在我们还健康时，应该快快乐乐的过每一天，不必追求太多的事与物或别人的认同。

就算我没有很多的好朋友陪伴，就算我不是很富裕，我也可以简简单单开开心心的过每一天。回到原始时代，做人有饭吃，有床睡，身体健康，这就是快乐啊！ツ

The nightmare last night is still haunting me. Gosh... I dreamt of witnessing disaster!

I am in a swimming pool with a big crowd and I'm horrified to see frozen sky!! There were cars frozen in the sky too. While we are looking at the sky, the frozen cars started to defrost and eventually dropped into the swimming pool. Some people were injured and the pool turned into blood bank. Seeing this, the rest of us started to run in all directions for help! Suddenly fire alarm rang... and I'm woke up by my alarm clock. Phew! What a close escape!!

OMG! God, please let Singapore be a safe home with no disaster.

Sob... Grandpa had fever. His body was so burning hot yet he was trembling. I am so scared when I see him struggling to breathe!

William wanted to drive Grandpa to hospital but Grandpa's arms & legs were so stiff that we dare not move him. We had to call the ambulance to send him to hospital.

He is still in the A&E department now. Hope it's nothing serious and he can discharged soon!! 阿公，愿你早日康复! ^^_

Hahas... I recommended my hairstylist, Annie to her and accompanied her throughout the whole process. OMG!! Annie took almost 4 hours to dye and cut mummy's hairs. Annie says 慢工出细货. LOL!!

Annie is really a good hairstylist!

Mummy wanted to colour and highlight her hairs. But Annie dissuaded her from doing highlights. Annie explained that her hairs have already been highlighted before and if she highlights again, it won't look nice on her.

IR or SR?

Sob... I feel so bad for making my project consultant upset. ^^_

Last evening, my project leader agreed with our consultant that the changes to timed out for our e-Service can be included as enhancement for next year. We will need to raise service request (SR) for that. But this morning our Director asked if we have raise an incident report (IR) about this timed out issue.

I am shocked! I explained to her that our project leader agreed that it will be a SR, not IR. But she repeated her statement saying it should be IR not SR. She also told me to raise IR quickly.

However, before i raised the IR, i called consultant to confirm whether raising IR is ok. I was told by the consultant that he will REJECT our IR if we raised it. He told me it should be SR, not IR.

Gosh... i went to share with my Director about it and she asked me WHY i bother to ask consultant if it's ok to raise IR. OMG! I am so silly?!?

Anyway, i proceeded to raise the IR. Out of courtesy, i called consultant to say 'sorry ah, I have raised an IR as per boss instruction'. I could sense his anger as he speaks. He firmly told me he will reject our IR as it should be SR.

Sigh... I feel so helpless! My project leader and project mate are on leave. I am not used to facing such a tough situation alone. I really cannot make it!

God, please let tomorrow be a peaceful easy day! : Þ

I am so happy to be BUSY all day long! Hahas... Perhaps, i'm a workaholic?!? I do enjoy working on my project, rushing to complete the testings and following up with the outstanding issues of my project.

The goodness about working on projects is that time flies. Without you realising, the day just ended like in a flash and i like that!

Just like yesterday, many colleagues from my department & other departments called me or instant message me for help on our new e-Service which was launched yesterday. LOL!! Somehow I became an unofficial helpline officer.

Actually... I do enjoy helping people. Being able to help others is a fortune! I feel happy whenever i helped someone solved his/her problem. It feels really great hearing someone rejoicing at the solutions i offered. Heehee... Life is more meaningful this way~ : Þ

Horray!! I have showed some improvements for my presentation this morning!

I am pleased with my performance today although it is still not perfect. Hahas... At least today I managed to deliver my speech clearly and also share with my audience more details than the previous sharing sessions.

The new e-Service I have been working on is finally launched to the public!! WooohOoo...

Silly me! Somehow i lost sleep last night worrying about how chaotic it would be today. I even forsee the possible kinds of incident reports that my project mate and me have to raise to consultants in the event that this new e-Service went wrong. LOL!!

I am so hApPy that there is no major hiccup today. The imperfection is the codes table issue that we surfaced on last friday night still remains unresolved.

Luckily, our consultants promised that the fix will be done tonight! Tomorrow morning, my project mate and me should be able to do the testing again. Hopefully, we can settle all the outstanding issues by end of this week.

Thanks alot to Bruce, Daniel and Harish!!! They have been working so hard on this project and never fails to be helpful to all the user reps at all situations. Thank you... Thank you so much!

OMG! I'm so exhausted! I worked overtime again. I miss the feeling of knocking off on time!

Today is the LAST day to work on my project - a new e-Service for our clients. But there are still some unresolved issues such as the codes table went wrong again! Gosh... now the deployment of new changes will have to be deferred to tuesday. ^^'

I am very excited yet worried about the launch of this new e-Service on Monday at 12am! OMG! Please let everything go on smoothly on monday~

This afternoon, the assistant managers of Email Teams suddenly requested me to conduct a walk-through of this new e-Service for their officers. I am so unprepared!! My project mate is on vacation leave. My project leader is busy discussing some unresolved issues with Director. I got no choice but to do the sharing session as well as handle all the FAQs alone.

Hmm... I am quite upset with myself after that because my presentation is not very well-done. I also failed to manage the FAQs from the audience gracefully.

The audience raised some tough questions which i am lost for words...
- why only allow 1 pdf attachment?
- why limit attachment size to 2mb?
- why cannot make words in the message bold, italic or underlined?
- why employee ID field is not compulsory?
- why new unread message will also be removed after 60 days?
- why the search of new enquiries cannot be done based on any ending digits specified by users?

I seriously went through deep thoughts on how to answer these questions. But if i were to explain the rationale behind each feature we are offering, this briefing will perhaps end much later. I am sure nobody would want to overtime just to hear me telling stories about the development of this e-Service.

Hahas... I will try my best to improve on my next presentation on monday! ツ

I am so nervous when i did the presentation at Auditorium this morning. Gosh! I seriously don't know what words came out of my mouth when i'm standing on stage. But i do know, i should have done better. ^^_

Aaarrrgghhh... I am having bad headache again.

My project mate and me are working like crazy these few days. Everyday we have to work overtime. The new e-Service which we have been working on will be launched to the public on coming monday at 12am!

Gosh... the system is still so unstable. We have raised a few incident reports to the consultants and they are still trying to resolve the problems.

OMG! Please let the consultants resolve the problems as soon as possible!! ^^.

Tiring sunday!!

Mummy spent the whole morning with me waiting to see Chinese physician. Almost 3 hours of waiting made mummy very agitated.

Gosh... She grumbled like crazy! She also scolded an auntie who pushed her!! Haha~ Fierce mummy... Nobody can ever bully her!!!

To pacify her, I bought her strawberry sundae and iced lemon tea. Lol!! She finished the sundae and medium iced lemon in less than 10 mins. Steady!!!

Yawn!! I am so sleepy~ ZzzZZz.... Mummy and me woke up at 7.30am to have breakfast together!

I just see her off for work and I start to miss her!! I have never miss her much in the past even when she went on overseas trip. This is the first time!

Yesterday my ex-AM had a small talk with me. She shared with me that one of our colleagues will be going through heart surgery next month and this colleague is very worried. But this colleague still shows a bright smile at work.

I learnt from my ex-AM that this colleague is living alone since the demise of her mother. Yet her life became more meaningful as she spent time studying Chinese medicine and practicing at Chinese clinic for FREE, to help the old & needy people!

I am amazed by what i heard and somehow feels this colleague is very noble.

Maybe some of you may feel she is just filling up her time by being a volunteer. But it appears to me that she is saving not only the patients, but the patients' families from worries & heartache.

After hearing this colleague's life sets me wondering what I will become after the demise of my mummy! When the day comes, I will also have to live alone in a 4 room flat. It's lonely!!

Last night, I asked mummy "why we have to live, eat, work and wait for our last day on earth?" Her answer is "this is life! so just do whatever u like, eat whatever u prefer, buy whatever you want. you will not know when is your last day. so no need to think any further than tomorrow!"

Hmm... I wish I could think so simply like her. But too bad, I'm too imaginative. Scenes of my dead body decomposing in our flat without anyone knowing haunts me! It's so scary!!

God, please let my mummy stay healthier than me; and live as long as I do!

"Wwwaaahhh.... Jes, so hardworking today??"

My colleagues sitting near me asked me this question when they saw me working overtime for my project. They also said "You always knock off on the DOT! So rare to see you still around at this hour."

Well, it's indeed quite some time since i last did overtime. The last round of overtime was during peak period (Mar & Apr) when there is an urgency to check the work done by my temp staff. Ha! Seems like a donkey years ago thing~

After being in Assessing Team for a year, i have learnt to enjoy the pleasure of knocking off timely! This enjoyment has become a habit of mine although i am posted back to Email Team now.

Heehee... I hope the coming peak period i can knock off timely too!! : Þ
